Yellow BERSIH 2.0 vs Green PERKASA vs Red UMNO Youth

At this hour, Malaysian capital city has been unofficially put into a police state whereby major roads leading into the heart of Kuala Lumpur have been closed and blocked by police with beaming lights from hovering helicopters on the anticipation of BERSIH 2.0 rally at Merdeka Stadium this Saturday (9th July).

BERSIH 2.0 is a joint rally from 62 non-governmental organisations calling for free and fair election. The last rally was held in Nov 2007 with a massive crowd of estimated 50 000 people took to the street of Kuala Lumpur, which resulting in the political tsunami on 2008 general election as Barisan Nasional lost the majority vote for the first time. Reactions and preemptive acts from the federal government and other Malay organisations since few weeks ago are indicating fear as if the rally will bring another wave of political change when the next general election is held likely the next year.

Since Anwar's political setback in 1998, political game in the mutli-racial nation has been getting complicated and confusing, especially among people in the rural areas where the flow of information is limited and controlled. It is always sickening to see how the government controlled media is dissipating news at such that it portrays to favor the government and put the oppositions as bad guys.

It is always ridiculous to see how some peoples react to this rally with illogical, uncommon senses.

"Yes, the Prime Minister has allowed them (BERSIH) to use a stadium, but he did not mention which one" as police refuses permit from BERSIH 2.0 to hold the rally at Merdeka Stadium.

"It is illegal and police arrest-able offence to wear BERSIH 2.0 T-shirt...Not just T-shirts, but shoes, cars, buses... any media that promotes July 9 rally" as police nabs hundreds of people to lock up.

"BERSIH should instead take up an offer to use a venue in opposition controlled Selangor state..." Isn't Merdeka Stadium located in Selangor? Why opposition controlled state as if BERSIH is an opposition party?
