This morning, apparently a solar storm had been hitting over Singapore sky with continuous flashes of lightning or aurora. Could this be the onset of super solar storm as forewarned by
NASA earlier in 2006? The
biggest recorded super solar storm was in 1859 which caused the telegraph system worldwide went haywire; spark discharge shocked telegraph operators and caused telegraph paper caught fire. Rare aurora were even observed in tropical latitude area.

solar storm in 1989 induced power surges which melted power transformers in New Jersey and blacking out 6 million populated area in Canada for 9 hours.
