Royal International Group (皇室国际集团) is organizing a local concert "Spice Up Your Life - Elson Soh & Royal Artistes - The Final Showcase 2011" which will be held on 9th July 2011 (Saturday) 8pm at The Max Pavilion, Singapore Expo.

The main singer, Elson Soh (苏奕铨), who is a fully homegrown talented artist in Singapore, is going to showcase his great vocal performance on his first ever concert. In fact, he will become the youngest ever artist to stage a full fledge concert at The Max Pavilion. In addition, several new artistes from Royal International will also perform along such as Malaysian Penangite singer cum composer Bryan Teoh (张永佳) who is well known with his vocal imitation of "Fei Yu Ching", City Love ideal duet singers Peter Ng (黄国量) & Joanne Chan (郑瑞玲), Yumi Beh (马慧珊), Joseph Hui (许俊勇), X-Clusive and Marco Fajar Hartanto.

It's been ages since I had some chocolate delicacy. The last Chinese New Year cum Valentine season, I got a box of chocolate from a random lucky draw at my client office.

It becomes a viral hit instantly on youtube due to critism of the song's lyrics, gaining 3.1 million dislikes (87% of total rating). On 16 June 2011, the official video has been removed from youtube due to copyright infringement claim by Black's family. Yet youtube viewers can still watch this video uploaded by other users.

On 12 June 2011, Katy Perry's Last Friday Night was released on youtube with over 17 million views as of now. Friday craze continues.

Penang Kedah Revisit 2011

Two and a half year has passed since my last stay in Penang and Kedah from  year 2006 to 2008. Last Friday, I started my journey back to Penang and Kedah from Johor Bahru.

The new Desaru-Senai highway shortens slightly the time taken to reach my hometown, Tanjung Malim. I started my solo car trip at 7am, took breakfast at Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh at 9am and reached Tanjung Malim at 12pm.

A rare total earth eclipse can be observed from the moon on 15 June 2011 20:12 UTC (16 June 03:12am Malaysia/Singapore time) yet no one can afford to travel easily to the moon for this observation. Back on the earth, continents from Africa to Singapore is fortunate to be able to observe rare total "central" lunar eclipse this month. Top 3 reasons why you should enjoy this rare phenomena.

1.  The last total "central" lunar eclipse happened on 16 July 2000. The last total lunar eclipse occurred on 21 Dec last year was not central to the earth.

Breaking my 3-years blood-donation phobia

3 years had passed since I avoided from donating blood. Everytime during blood taking process, my blood was flowing into the donation bag at a very slow rate as compared to others. Half the time, my blood clotted and the nurse would pull in and out slightly the needle to "de-clot" my blood flow. If failed, I would need to be needled on the other arm to continue the blood taking process.

For once, I failed to donate my blood due to blood clot in the middle of the process for both arms although my blood bag was half full. Fearing of blood clot and the pain of re-needle, I shun away from any blood donation after the last time in 2008.

Today, I donated my blood for the first time in Singapore at Vibrant Blood Orchard Central. Surprisingly, the whole process was smooth; no blood-clotting, no re-needle and no pain. Although my blood flow is still very slow as it took about 20minutes to get a 450ml bag full, I have successfully donated my blood with ease. So happy that I am looking forward to next donation this August.
